What is the difference between "It's real." and "It's true?"

Dear English Forums.

I am an ESL teacher from Taiwan and one of my students asked me the question:

What's the difference between "It's real" and "It's true?"

I think they are basically the same, only "It's real" is a bit stronger.

Thanks so muych for your help!

It's true story.

She is not a dancer. It is untrue that she is good at dancing.
