What is the difference?

"We should take in these migrants."
"We should take these migrants in."

And if they are the same, could you explain to me why? I think first one is correct, but ending the sentence with the preposition seems more correct to me.

"take in" is a phrasal verb. You can put the object (migrants) between the main verb (take) and the particle (in.) Or leave the particle directly after the verb followed by the object.

Similarly:
Please turn your cell phone off.
Please turn off your cell phone.

take out the trash = take the trash out
fill up the tank (with gas/petrol) = fill the tank up (with gas/petrol)
