What is the difference?

Emotion: smilehi everybody

could anyone please show me the difference between saying : "she is my friend." and "she is a friend of mine." Is there any differences in the context that each one should be used in?

She is a friend of mine = She is one of my friend s . It implies that you also have other friends. In my judgment this is the form most people would use.

  • She is my friend is very similar, but without the implication mentioned above.

Hello!

No, there is no difference between the meaning or context of the two. Either one can be said when identifying a friend. I think probably referring to someone as a friend of yours is more common though.

Take care,
