W hat is the difference between " I will go" and " I will be going"? The second form has one of two functions: (1) It can express a future action during which another future action occurs: 'I will be eating dinner when you arrive' (= I will have already started eating). Compare with 'I will eat dinner when you arrive' = I will await your arrival before starting to eat.
