What is the definition of the word "Macanese"?

What is the definition of the word "Macanese"? Does it only refer to an ethnic group in Macau originating from Portuguese descent, usually mixed with the Chinese? or does it refer to all the permanent inhibitants of Macau?

Yes, thank you for your reply.
However, whenever I come across this term "Macanese", the primary meaning of "an ethnic group in Macau originating from Portuguese descent, usually mixed with the Chinese (narrow sense)" comes up to my mind, although I do admit that the other meaning of "all the permanent inhabitants of Macau (broad sense)" can be found in dictionaries.

OED seems to think it applies to anyone from Macau, but "especially" to those of mixed Chinese-Portuguese descent:

I think we've done this, and "in which we're livin'" was the alternate explanation. But I don't know if anyone found official lyrics.
