what is the correct answer?

Hi,

I have a gap sentence and I don't know that which answer is correct and why.

The sentence:

Do you know that the lady ...... is a princess?

A, next to whom you are sitting,
B you are sitting next to
C, whom you are sitting next
D, next to who you are sitting

Thank you in advance,
Iren

Can you try to eliminate two of the possibilities yourself? One at least should be simple - you sit next to people.

You are right about C. That is clearly wrong. Now let's look at the others:

Do you know that the lady ...... is a princess?

A, next to whom you are sitting, This is correct, but rather formal (assuming that the comma is a typo. If it's not, then the sentence is incorrect.)
B you are sitting next to
