What is round-trip?

Hey, what does round-trip mean? If I travel from Shanghai to Toronto, and I fly back from Ottawa to Shanghai after my short stay, are the air tickets called round-trip?

Thanks in advance.

No, not strictly - though I cannot account for what Air Canada might term it. Round-trip is from origin to destination and back to origin.
