Hello, there. How are you? I have a question. Could you help me out? I saw this sentence structure, What is it that S+V. For example, What is it that you are doing? So "that clause" modifies "what" or "it" in this sentence? Thank you as usual and you don't know how helpful this website is to meEmotion: smile Thank you again.

A cleft sentence is a sentence that highlights an element from a more usual kind of declarative sentence.
