What is human or inhuman is not for human decision

Hi

Would you say the blue sentence makes much sense?

[spoken by Elizabeth Taylor when she asks her secretary to go and give a kind of cold message to Richard Burton who entered her territory without permission and got lacerated by her dogs.]

No, I cannot give a man nearly killed by dog such an inhuman message.

What's human or inhuman is not for human decision. Now you go and interrogate him.

Thanks,

Tom

Hi,

Yes.

It means that the secretary should not decide whether or not the message is inhuman. And that no-one can decide such things.

Night of the Iguana? Last year, I visited the place in Mexico where that was filmed.

Best wishes, Clive

Inhuman message that is without any normal human feelings of pity.
For example
The refugees had suffered degrading and inhuman treatment.

It seems all right. My take on it is that the speaker is hinting that only some higher power (like ***) can make that decision. But I could be way off.
