what is different between MOVED nad TOUCHED

when you watch a sad movie or something similar in the life about sad story. do i use the word " moved me or touched me?"

Say that it moved you. You can say the story was moving (more emotion) or that it was touching (less emotion). But you don't say that it touched you.

Say that it moved you.

You can say the story was moving (more emotion) or that it was touching (less emotion).

But you don't say that it touched you. At least, I don't. Perhaps others do.

both are correct but 'it moved me' is more commonly used.

You can say "it touched me" but it's more common to say "it was very touching".
