What is correct??

Hello,

I have one thing that I often use but I do not know what is the more correct...

Should I say:
- Monthly page views
or
- Page views per month

may be I have to add an "s" at page?

This question must sound very stupid to an English native, but to me a French native it is impossible to choose...

Thanks in advance

It depends on what you are trying to say... Initially I couldn't figure it out and thought you were talking about a page that gives you a view of some events that have happened in a particular month... Then I realised that you're probably talking about a web page and want the viewer to know how many times that page has been viewed that month.

  • If I am correct in my assumption, then you should probably write a more complete sentence as neither abbreviated sentence you suggested makes sense.
  • We also more often use the word 'hit' rather than 'view' when talking about web pages.
