What is "As" in the sentnece?
Hi,
I am just wonder what *as* means in the sentence,"However, the word has positive connotations not lost on politicians, and educators are becoming more attuned to the importance of community characteristics as impacting how they need to do their work."
Does this mean "when* or something else? I couldn't figure out the conjunction and the sentence afterwards. *As impacting how they need to do their work."
