I don't think the word is synonymous, but it's a word that would be used to say something is often related to something. For instance I would say, "A turtle is often ____ with the idea of moving slow." I could just be making this up in my mind. Am I making up a word that doesn't exist?

I think you mean "associated with", as in "A turtle is often associated with the idea of moving slowly," or "a lawyer is rarely associated with the idea of integrity."
Oh yes, and you would say "slowly", the adverb, to describe what kind of movement you mean, rather than "slow".
