What is a timeless verb?

What is considered a timeless verb? Give examples

In the sentence, I am going to walk. Is there any infinitive of the verb. I was told that to walk is the infinitive, but I see it as a verb in the future tense.

Could a timeless verb be one that doesn't have any past or future such as a modal verb. It's the first time I've heard that expression so you shouldn't quote me on what I've just said. 'To Walk' is in the infinitive.
