What is a "glue shelf"?

Have you heard of such an expression for perhaps a large exhibit shelf in a mall or shopping location?

I assumed so because the original context goes as "I stood in fron an enormous glue shelf in the freezer section looking for small eternities." and that is somebody's experience at a shopping area in which, I also don't understand what "small eternities refer to.

I suppose this is a British expression since the article was published in a Singaporean magazine.

chivalry I stood in fron t of an enormous glue shelf in the freezer section looking for small eternities. I have to say that this sentence has a sort of nameless charm, and yet I have no idea what it means. CJ

Hi,

I think it is misspelt. Perhaps it should be "...an enormous BLUE shelf..."

Also "eternities" is not correct in that context. As far as I know there is only one use for the term - eternity would refer to everlasting time - and "eternities" to more than one everlasting time!

I think it was probably caused by incorrect use of automatic "spelling checker" software.
