Hello friends,

What is a difference between decisive factor and deciding factor ?

Thanks

I tend to look at "the decisive factor" as "the most important/significant factor", and "the deciding factor" as "the factor that finally made clear which decision should be taken/made". That said, they are nearly synonymous. CJ

The second of the two implies a time line more than the first does (to my ear). That said, they are nearly synonymous.
