What ios the name of that game?

I need to know the name of that game in which six to seven people are sitting together, probably in a circle, and a message starts from one point/person and then he/she says that message/phrase to another person and in the end the last person tells what the message was. Usually this message is distorted when it reaches the last person.

I've heard it called "telephone" and also "whisper down the lane."

In the UK - Chinese Whispers.

"pass the message". I don't really know if that's the name of the game you're asking but the mechanics of playing it is almost the same except that in the "pass the message" they are not seated in circles...
