What if you describe the following sentence context with idioms?

1. It has just been a brief history of a language development.

2. If I want to talk about something essential, and people can't go on the celebration, or banquests without it, for example, something refers to a sauce when family have a kind of dish for dinner together, or the turkey when people get to have the festival.

3.When there is a new arrival in the shop, girls'd like to have a try-on. is there any difference from trying on the outdated ones. If a new dish come out in the menu, some epicurean go to have a try.
