what I wish I knew when I was 20

Is there any difference between

(a) what I wish I knew when I was 20
(b) what I wish had known when I was 20

Actually I thought (b) was correct becaue the fact that there were few things that I didn't know at 20 is related to the past experience, but there was a famous book titled (a) which made me confused.

Which do you think is correct? And if both are correct, is there any difference?

I'm looking forward to your explanation. Thank you ~!

(b) has a typo (missing "I"). Apart from that, (b) is the correct one. I do not find (a) acceptable, but obviously the author of that book did not agree.
