What he is like or what is he like?

Dear Teachers,
I would like to know the differences between:
What he is like or what is he like?
Can you please help me?
I am not sure of the answer to this question:
He always looks brave on the screen but I wonder ... in real life.
Which one is correct? What he is like? or What is he like
Thank you very much!
