What gores in the black?

Can a native English speaker who knows about sport please help?
What word goes in the blank? How could I phrase this sentence?

Lebron James average .4 more/higher ___ in every stat categories than Kevin Durant.
Points:
James : 26.6
Durant : 26.2

Rebounds :
James : 7.7
Durant : 7.3

Assists :
James : 6.8
Durant : 6.4

I keep wanting to say 'points' but 'ponits' in one of the categories, you can't say 'He averages .4 more point in points than Durant.'

What if you were talking about rebounds
'He averages .4 more point in rebounds than Durant.

That's why I think 'points' doesn't work. Do you have an idea?

Thank you very much

Are you sure there's a gap there?
