What follows any?

It is unreasonable to expect any school/any schools to take great care of the matter.

Are both choices correct?

"any school" would be my choice, but "to take great care of the matter" probably is not right. Perhaps "to pay any attention to the matter" is what you mean, but I would need more context to be sure.
