What does triangulate mean here?

Hi,

"Checked twice, triangulated once" what does this title mean? I checked the meaning of TRIANGULATE in some dictionaries like Webster, but I don't get it here.

I don't either, since there is no context. I suspect that 'triangulate' is used as a jocular emphatic for 'check', i.e. 'triangulate' means 'check very carefully'...perhaps.

There is another sentence too :"Start with a checklist and confirm your findings with triangulation."

nesaSo does it mean CONCLUDE? or I'm wrong?
No, it means to conduct a formal process of agreeing certain hypotheses, gathering information, and analysing the information with respect to the hypotheses. The idea is that the data comes from different sources and can either verify or refute the hypothesis. I would call it formalized investigation.
