What does this sentence mean?

I know all the words but to be honest, I have no clue what this sentence means ... :

" I search for any clues that would give her away but unlike before she's completely collected now? "

- So, as to my comprehension the speaker is trying to find hints that would justify giving a female away ...,

but in contrast to the past this female (her) is completely collected this time.-

Does this make sense to anybody of you? Your help is very much appreciated.

Thank you and have a nice day.
