What does this sentence mean?
Does "an Immense multitude was convicted, not so much of the crime of Firing the city, as of hatred against mankind" mean "a great lot of Christians were condemned in the judgment that the Christians held the hatred against mankind (so in the comparison, Nero's crime of ordering the conflagration was just a small case)"?
