Sanity: mental health. (healthy thinking, not depressed or crazy)

superficially attractive material benefits means, Those things that are luxurious and are attractive to a person, but are rarely useful in his life, such as Television which has today become a necessity! Thus people waste their time in viewing TV shows, rather than spending their time in something useful like, Reading a Book or Newspaper, or Praying etc.

and Sanity means the mental stability of Mind...

So, You have to give up a lot of superficially attractive material benefits in order to preserve the quality of your life and your sanity. in simple words means, that:

"One should not waste his time on things that are useless and should do things that are more useful so that he could maintain the quality of his life as well as his mental stability!"

Note: Its Benefits and not beefits.
