I had that problem too.
I bought 2g double flared plugs, and I couldn't get them in.
What I did was I used a 0g taper, but I only slid it in my ear part of the way and then I put the plug in.
What does it mean? like not all the way through the ear?

Thanks

It seems that the person had to use the taper to open the hole in the ear enough to enable him/her to insert the plug.
