What does this mean?

Hi teachers

I found this sentence very confusing.

Silk and other artificial flowers manufactured today are breathtakingly real and must be touched if they are to be distinguished from nature's own.

What does this sentence mean? Is this sentence grammatically correct or worded?

Thank you.

The next part says that in order to distinguish these artificial flowers from natural flowers, you must touch them. "nature's own" means "nature's own flowers", i.e. natural flowers.
