what does this mean?

Hello!
What does this mean?

'Yours was the first marriage among us.'

Can this be ambiguous?
Can it mean 'a certain person was the first among his friend to marry'
or
A certain person's marriage was the first one to be held in the presence of his friends

Please help. Thanks in advance.

It's the former. If there was a qualifier such as "Yours was the first marriage among us to be held in the presence of invited guests," then obviously the latter definition would apply.
