What does "they used to be vines" mean?

Hello,

I came across the below sentence in internet. but there is a confusion sentence for understand.

What does "they all used to be vines." mean?

"this is my girlfriend. she used to work at michael's. she lives 2 hours away from me so when we would hang out it was usually on the weekends. when i would go to her i would sometimes arrive in her town a little earlier while she was still working because i knew she could use a caffeine boost / she loved surprises. also her reactions were hilarious every time. this was filmed over a 7 month period i believe and they all used to be vines (until i put them together in a compilation)."
