What does the sentence suggest?

Compared with sentence #2, sentence #1 suggests two possibilities: one is that I succeeded to grab a sleep and the other is that I failed to. Am I right? Thanks for your help!

1. I grabbed a couple of hours’ sleep on the plane.

2. I managed to grab a couple of hours’ sleep on the plane.

1. I grabbed a couple of hours’ sleep on the plane. This has no suggestion of failure to sleep.

2. I managed to grab a couple of hours’ sleep on the plane. This is basically the same as #1, ie
