What does ‘St Andrews’ mean?

The passage below is the last passage of The Library: A Fragile History by Andrew Pettegree.

Before submission the manuscript was given a vigorous workout by our editor at Profile, Cecily Gayford. We owe a profound debt to Cecily for her editorial rigour and imaginative suggestions for re-shaping some of our material. Thanks are also due to Penny Gardiner for her precise and sensitive copy-editing, and to Samantha Johnson for the superb cover design. Another critical influence was our agent, Felicity Bryan. It was Felicity who encouraged us to expand our canvas and embrace the whole scope of library history. We fixed on the title in a conversation by telephone with Felicity from beneath the ramparts of Prague Castle. It was the sort of issue on which she was both meticulous and uncompromising, and it was of course through Felicity that we were first introduced to Profile and Cecily Gayford.

Felicity Bryan, MBE, died on 21 June 2020. We dedicate this book to her memory, in thankfulness and respect for her enormous influence on the world of books.

St Andrews

December 2020.

Since it’s the last I thought the name of the author, Andrew Pettegree would be fine. Instead, ‘St Andrews’ was the last proper name, which I don’t know what it means. Andrew Pettegree is the professor of the University of St Andrews. Does this fact has something to do with this strange practice, or something else?

Thanks in advance.
