what does sentence gave mean?
Hi friends ...
i just refer voice of america web which contain "In Germany today, government and business leaders met to discuss efforts to save the troubled commercial property lender, Hypo Real Estate AG. A $48 billion rescue plan to salvage the German company fell through Saturday.". what is the meaning behind this sentenc. especially i have not get meaning for " A $48 billion rescue plan to salvage the German company fell through Saturday"!
please help me.. i'm very beginner for english langugage.
