What does "several times over" mean?

Hi!

Could you help me to understand what is mean by the underlined expression? Does she mean she has several times more grandchildren than he does?

"I told her that my career was going well, that I was marry to a wonderful woman, and that I had three teenaged children. She told me that she was a grandmother several times over."

It means that each time one of her children had a child, she became a grandmother "again." She's not comparing herself to anyone else, just saying that she has many grandkids.

Yes, it's as Grammar Geek mentioned in the above.

This is just one of the meanings of over:

over
adverb
for a second or successive time : once more : AGAIN<this work will have to be done over>

Thanks a lot for your explanation.

I'd like to say "thank you" over and over again.
