What does "sabotage" mean (in that context)?

Hi,

Skeptics fear they'll only produce more problems, from making recounts less reliable to giving computer hackers a chance to sabotage results.

Thanks!

Hi, Skeptics fear they'll only produce more problems, from making recounts less reliable to giving computer hackers a chance to sabotage results. It's just the standard dictionary meaning, ie deliberately damage/disrupt. eg a computer counts 100 votes for a candidate in an election, but a hacker changes the number to 1000.
