What does "pro-brand" mean?

Hi,

Do you know what pro-brand means here?

The anti-brand argument goes like this: brands are bullies; they commodify cultures and they are unaccountable. The pro-brand argument, however, holds that brands are accountable and transparent, and that they provide more value and economic benefits for people than ever before. The reality is probably somewhere in between.

Regards,
