What does "new year" mean exactly?
If I say to my friend today "I'm inviting my family for dinner next year", do I mean I'm inviting my family on January 1st 2022, which is a month or two from now, or do I mean I'm inviting them on the 29th of November 2022, which is exactly one year from now?
