Hi, I have a question about the following sentence.

"Sire’s a two-time national field champion; mother’s placed in state six years in a row, won twice."

This is what a dog breeder said (in a novel).

I thought 's was was because she is a mother now, which means she is not active in competitions anymore, but it should be has.
