I work in the music industry, and I just heard someone use that term, and wondered the same thing so I googled it, and found your question. He did mention Rhianna in the same sentence, so I’m thinking it means mixed race, like melato. Not totally sure, but I hope that helps

You mean 'mulatto'. Note that this is not really considered a nice word to use these days. It can make the person who says it sound like a racist. Technically, Obama is a mulatto, but nobody ever says so.

He is saying Melodic.
