What does marketing support mean?

Hi,

As I googled this phrase I found this explanation which wasn't a good hint for me. Here it is:

to help you research and develop new marketing strategies to obtain additional lead sources

The main problem is that I don't get whether it is a term used when something is supporting the marketing or it is something maintained by the marketing itself.

Regards,
Nesa
