What does it mean?

"Much less their own", what does it mean and in what context can it be used? An example would be great.

Hi I found that quite tricky, probably because it isn't a phrase you hear often - Did the brothers disrespect their father? - They never said anything really bad about anyone's father, much less their own With regard to their own, the degree was even less Dave
