what does it mean?

The exam was so easy. Anybody could have passed. Does it mean it was possible for anybody to pass but the real action is nobody passed the exam.

Nothing else is mentioned concerning how many passed and how many did not pass.

Does the above sentence has the same meaning like the sentence below,
Everybody was saying that the exam was so easy,even my friend ,who is the weakest student in our class,passed the exam. I could have passed but in reality,I didn't pass because I didn't give the exam.

It's the professor or teacher who "gives" the exam; the student "takes" the exam. (I think in the U.K. possibly the student 'sits" the exam, but I'm not sure.)

Are you trying to say you didn't pass the exam because you didn't take it? That's possible, but it do
