What does it mean?

Hi,
Can somebody explain me what does this sentence mean?

A man carried two containers to the head of the line and set them down.

Thanks a lot

It sounds like there was a long line (a queue) of people. The man carried these two things to where the person at the front of the line/queue was standing and put them down.
