What does "Impale Sticky" mean?

"Impale Sticky" is the name of a level in the game "World of Goo": http://worldofgoo.wikia.com/wiki/Impale_Sticky (there can be SPOILERS!).

The language in this game is often very enigmatic. But here... I really don't know what is "impaling" what, and this "sticky" at the end is strange too. Any ideas, guys?

It is just a game; it needn't make sense. 'World of Goo' makes no sense. However, these are the dictionary definitions that are meant: impale: to push a pointed object through someone or something sticky: having the property of adhering, as glue; adhesive.

Could Sticky be the name of a character in the game?

Not necessarily, all the level names in "World of Goo" are capitalized like this: "Flying Machine", "Small Divide", "Going Up". And they always seem to mean something. So there actually is a flying machine, a divide that you have to cross, and in "Going Up" you simply go up.

And what about this meaning of "sticky"?

"involving problems; difficult or awkward" (Oxford)

This meaning of "impale" also seems to fit the bill:

"to fix in an inescapable or helpless position" (Merriam)
