What does "I'll be on you" mean?

I need to translate this video, but there’s a part I don’t get it.

At 0:03 of this video, the man said “then I’ll be on ya wingman.”

This is how I interpret it. As this video opens, you have a pilot speaking, apparently the pilot of the dark, camo-painted fighter, whose gunsight is visible in the video. He's in back of a light-colored uncamoflaged fighter, and firing at it.
