What does "heavy" & "deep" mean in this case?

It's about tennis:

"When you put topspin on your shots, the ball spins towards your opponent. When the ball bounces, it leaps high on the bounce toward your opponent. This high, quick bounce can wreak havoc with your opponent's timing. The disadvantages of topspin are that, like any kind of spin, it slows the ball down. Heavy topspin also causes the ball to fall to the court more quickly, making it that much tougher to hit the ball deep and keep your opponent pinned to the back of his court."

Thanks so much.
