What does "extracts" refer to?
Hi my friend,
Could you help me solve this problem?
In this sentenc eIn "The Grand Design," co-authored with US physicist Leonard Mlodinow, Hawking says a new series of theories made a creator of the universe redundant, according to the Times newspaper which published extracts on Thursday..
What does "extracts"mean in this sentence? Does it mean The extracts of the grand design? If it is so, why does this sentence just mention "extracts"? I think this sentence is not clear enought even though it is understandable.
Or maybe there are some grammar rules for this?
