What does 'ding up' mean here?

Hi guys, I'm watching the West Wing these days. From episode 2 of season 1, there's a line saying 'Well, I think you dinged up your suspension pretty good.' Could someone tell me what the meaning of 'dinged up your suspension' is? Thanks!

MANDY: You know what the worst part about this is?

RUSSELL: Well, I think you dinged up your suspension pretty good.

MANDY: No, Lloyd. It's the party they're having right now in the West Wing at my expense.
