What does "compare favorably" mean in this sentence?

This is a sentence from a TOEIC test example:
"Midtown hospital compares favorably with other hospitals and provides services at low rates."
I can't figure out the meanings of "compare favorably" in that sentence.
Could you please rephrase or explain the situation?
