What does "behind" mean in this sentence?

Hi all,

Can someone please help me with the following sentence?

"We subscribe to the philosophy that our equipment is no better than the parts & service organization behind that equipment."

What is the meaning of "the organization behind that equipment"? I don't quite get it.

So in this context, "the organization" means other companies or enterprises instead of "We" , or it is actually we? It remains confusing to me.

The whole context is,
